"Essential Skills for Employment: What Resumes Won't Tell You"
This report features the results of a survey of employers from Elgin, Middlesex, and Oxford. The economy and our workplaces are becoming more complex and demanding. Global competition and evolving technology increases the need for highly skilled employees. Communication, problem solving and decision-making are just some of the essential skills that employers identify as lacking in the workforce.
TOP Action Updates
The Trends, Opportunities and Priorities Report released in March 2009 identified 5 key trends and priority workforce development issues for the Elgin Middlesex Oxford area. Each action to address these issues is led by a local organization and supported by a variety of stakeholders in partnership. The actions have been further refined by the partners and are moving forward despite the challenging times faced by our local labour force. Click here for an update on the actions identified in the TOP Report 2009.
